Grants
River Region Arts and Humanities Council, representing St. Charles, St. James, and St. John the Baptist parishes, has grants available for schools, theatre groups, libraries, art guilds and other non profit organizations interested in presenting arts programs or humanities projects as well as for individuals who are pursuing developmental activities in the area of arts and humanities.Grants will not exceed $1,000 per application.Grant applications must be postmarked by Saturday, November 13, 2004. Funds will be distributed at the Wednesday, December 15, 2004, General Membership Meeting. All funds must be used during the 2005 calendar year. Mission:
The River Region Arts and Humanities Council was founded on the premise that the arts and humanities are an integral part of everyday life. The purpose of the council is to serve as an umbrella organization to enrich the quality of life within the region through the promotion of the arts and humanities, the preservation and enhancement of local culture, and the support of arts education through fundraising and program development. |
