Grant Disbursement 2004 |
River Region Arts and Humanities Council has awarded a total of twenty-four grants to community groups and organizations in St. Charles, St. John, and St. James Parishes. President Randy De Soto and Vice President Sue Friloux along with the RRAHC Board of Directors hosted a reception and grants presentation on January 21, 2004 at the St. John Library in LaPlace. These grants will help to fund a children’s theatrical workshop, musical concerts, writing project, festivals, mural project, the German Coast Farmers Market and many other activities that will benefit area residents. RRAHC’s grant program is designed to promote the arts and humanities, preserve and enhance local culture and to provide support to art education. The arts are an essential and unique part of life in Louisiana. The council is a non-profit organization, which seeks to inspire the development and encouragement of the arts and artists in the three-parish area. Monies are acquired through fundraising and with the assistance of the United Way in St. Charles Parish. If you would like to become a member or supporting patron please visit the Membership Page.
