Call for
2015 GRANT APPLICATIONS
(LaPlace, LA) September 2, 2014 – The River Region Arts & Humanities Council or “RRAHC”, representing St. Charles Parish, St. John the Baptist Parish and St. James Parish has 2015 grants available for schools, theatre groups, libraries, art guilds and other non-profit organizations interested in presenting arts programs or humanities projects as well as for individuals who are pursuing developmental activities in the area of the arts and humanities. 2015 grants wil1 not exceed $1,000.00 per application. 2015 grant applications are available on our website at rrahc.org, by contacting RRAHC, Post Office Box 1411, LaPlace, Louisiana, 70069-1411 or by calling the 2015 Grant Committee member Harold Flynn, Jr at (985)652-7111. 2015 Grants must be post marked by Friday, October 31, 2014 and received by the 2015 Grants Committee by Monday, November 7, 2014. Grants will be announced in mid-December and recipients will receive their awards during a reception at RRAHC office located at 301 West Airline Highway, Suite 201, LaPlace, Louisiana during the 2015 RRAHC Annual Meeting of the membership in January, 2015 (date & time to be posted on website). Last year’s 2014 RRAHC Grant Committee presented thirty-two (32) grants or sponsorships totaling approximately $24,545.00.

The River Region Arts & Humanities Council is founded on the premise that the arts and humanities are an integral part of everyday life. The purpose of the council is to serve as an umbrella organization to enrich the quality of life within the region through the promotion of the arts and humanities, the preservation and enhancement of local culture, and the support of art education through fund-raising and program development in the River Parish Region. Our membership includes citizens from St. Charles, St. James and St. Charles Parishes. Since 2000 RRAHC has awarded over $370,000 in grants.
