The River Region Arts & Humanities Council (RRAHC) was founded on the premise that the arts and humanities are an integral part of everyday life. The purpose of the Council is to serve as an umbrella organization to enrich the quality of life within the River Parishes Region (St. Charles, St. John the Baptist and St. James) through the promotion of the arts and humanities, the preservation and enhancement of local culture, and the support of arts education through fund-raising and program development. Since the council was founded in 1997, it has distributed more than $407,000.
